A quick video where I'll go over everything you need to know about weapon appearance changing! From level 1 - 50 you will get non-upgradeable weapons all from story. Once you get the next one, you either trash the previous or keep it as a souvainer in the Showroom (F3). At some point you will be offered a 'Dark Weapon Chest' or a 'Light Weapon Chest', and most Blade Dancers will pick the Light one. Blade & Soul has a specific process in order for you to obtain loot. Loot can start at a locked chest, an unlocked chest, or a sealed drop. Locked chests require keys, unlocked chests just require inventory space, and all loot must be unsealed with an unsealing charm. Blade And Soul Weapon Upgrade
let's start with arms. blade & soul uses a weapon system that replaces evolution of classical mechanics. the weapon you get early in the game, the epic weapon named hongmoon, is a weapon that you can upgrade using the other weapons that you will find throughout your adventure. the latter, in its final form, will be a legendary weapon. throughout its evolution, it will gain levels and become more powerful, greatly increasing your damage.
some items and gems of experience give a lot of experience and help quickly level up your weapon. it is important to note that over the evolution, it will be costly which makes the use of very useful high-level gems. the advice i would give is to store these gems in your trunk and wait for the maximum level. however, some gems are only effective up to level 36.
you should also note that when the weapon experience bar reaches the maximum, you will need a specific transformation of weapon which will be indicated as well as a material for evolution. these objects can be found in the location shown under the title 'origin' contained in the weapon description.
as regards the items, there are several pieces of item:
accessories: you can press the f3 key to find the list of objects to find and drop many in the world of blade & soul.
head accessories: it is only cosmetic and like the first, you can access the list of objects that match that location in the wardrobe (f3).
collar: the collar is one of the pieces of item that provides statistics on your character. just like the weapon, it will evolve the first collar that you will receive (epic necklace hongmoon) and keep it until the end of the game.
ring: this piece of item works just like the necklace.
earring: this piece of item works just like the necklace and ring.
face adornment: cosmetic item appears in the list of objects of the wardrobe with the f3 key.
bracelet: this item added bonus but it will be found at the top level.
belt: this item will be available to high-level, like the bracelet, and it will give bonus features. the easiest way to have a belt is to buy 10 stone blue mermaids bravery in one of the last areas of the game. the other way is to drop pending high level. anyway, the bracelet and the belt will not be available until late in the game.
Your weapon in Blade & Soul will grow in power and ability alongside your own.
Regardless of the path you take, your weapon will be a consistent tool throughout your journey. From your earliest days of training in your chosen martial art, until your last, your weapon will be your constant throughout. Early in your journeys you’ll come across a weapon of immense power—a Hongmoon weapon—your weapon. This is the tool you will keep with you, and work to increase in power along your journey.
When defeating your foes they will at times drop their own weapons or you will be rewarded with training crystals, and these can be sacrificed to imbue your weapon with their strength. As you add the power from other weapons to your own, it increases in level, enhancing the weapon’s power and attributes.
Once it has reached Stage 5, it can be coaxed to breakthrough to Stage 6 with the power of a specific rare weapon, and rare reagents.
Now your weapon can continue its journey to Stage 10 and transform into a new weapon once a different rare weapon and reagent have been collected. After the transformation has been completed, your weapon will return to Stage 1, but with a new appearance and name.
Blade & Soul
Difficult enemies keep the weapons needed to begin a breakthrough or transformation, and the rare reagents can generally be found through repeatable quests within certain areas of the world.
In addition to your weapon, your path will also include a selection of accessories that also increase in power in the same way as your weapon--fed with other accessories—and also breakthrough tiers using rare accessories and reagents.

Enemy weapons aren’t always destined for destruction though; they also provide unique appearances that can be kept and used to change the look of your own weapon. There are tales of very rare and powerful Legendary quality weapons that can sometimes even rival the power of your Hongmoon weapon at the highest levels of expertise.
The success of any martial artist will not only rely on their own physical strength and training, but also of their weapon.
